Appeal Process
Appeal Process
After Compliance makes a ruling for disciplinary action, a person or organization may appeal if they believe their situation qualifies for one of the following:
Compliance errored in the Interpretation of the Rules, Policies and/or Procedures.
Finding of Fact was unrealistic to make on the Evidence at hand.
Discipline is unreasonable based on the Finding of Facts.
New Evidence or Information.
An appeal must be sent to HelpDesk@tyfa.com within 24 hours of Compliances ruling or it will not be reviewed.
The email must contain a well thought-out explanation to what happened and why TYFA should modify the discipline.
Appeals must be based on facts, not emotional or opinionated statements.
Example: The referees didn't make a call so my bad behavior is warranted. This response will get you nowhere.
Include any proof suach as videos, pictures etc. Keep in mind that a chopped up video or still pictures can be created to fit a person's narrative so they may not always be accepted as proof.
Threats, vulgarity or lack of respect in an appeal to TYFA will only bring more disciplinary action.
Appeals are reviewed by the Senior Executive Board. There is no higher board that will review. TYFA is independent and does not answer to any national entity.
Once ruled on by the SEB, there are no future appeals.
During the season when games are being played, the SEB has 48 hours to review and rule.
During the off-season, the SEB has 72 hours.
The SEB may request additional information from all parties involved.
If the SEB chooses to review an appeal, they will either:
Uphold the ruling by Compliance as is; or
Uphold the ruling by Compliance, but with modifications; or
Throw out the ruling by Compliance.
If a person or organization has a question or needs clarification prior to sending in an appeal, send it to HelpDesk@tyfa.com for review.
