Forfeit Policy
Forfeit Policy
Grace Period: Spring (15 minutes) / Fall (30 minutes). MAXIMUM amount of time available for that specific game. Grace period starts when the game was to start. Grace period is not per team, but rather for the game.
It is an organization's responsibility to no put itself, their opponent, the Referees and TYFA into a situation where games need to be forfeit for the numerous reasons found in these policies on this site. Example: Not enough players, issues with equipment or the field.

If a team notifies their opponent at least 24 hours in advance they will not show or will not have the ON FIELD MINIMUM (7 Flag/11 Tackle) of eligible players.
Even if a team shows with players, but is less then the ON FIELD MINIMUM, the game is forfeit and the offended team does not have to scrimmage.
The following will incur a Class AA consequence:
Team forfeits last game of the season.
Team commits to an extra Regular season game, postseason play, or the Spring Bowl and then does not fulfill their obligation.
Team forfeits after advancing in the playoffs.
Team forfeits second time in the same season.
Class B Forfeit (during game):
If a team falls below the ON FIELD MINIMUM because of illegal equipment that cannot be replaced, player ejections, or there are no remaining COACHES because of ejections or they left the facility for any reason.
If a team quits with at least the ON FIELD MINIMUM, in the first half without the Mercy rule invoked.
