If your facility has been DAMAGED while hosting an official TYFA event, you may attempt to make a claim.
STEP 1 - Do I qualify (all must be true)
Is my organization in "Good Standing" with TYFA for the year I wish to claim?
Do I or TYFA, have a copy of the policy for the venue that was damage dated for the year I wish to claim?
Was the damage incurred during an official TYFA event?
If the answer to any one of these is a NO, the Liability insurance will not cover your damages.
STEP 2 - Assuming all answers previously were all YES you can submit a claim.
Click the link to complete and sign the document [ONLINE FORM]
TYFA will complete any documents, package the claim form and any items and send it to the insurance company for review. From that point forward any communication will be between the organization and the insurance company.
If a spectator at your venue claims to have hurt themself, they have a right to ATTEMPT to make a claim.
The key to this type of claim is the spectator must prove that you, the host, was negligent.
E.g., holes in the field, ants on the field, bleachers in bad shape, etc.
If a spectator approaches you with a claim they hurt themself and they want to make a claim, do not get involved in any type of argument.
Collect as much information as you can as to who they are, what happened, where etc.
Write that up and send it to HelpDesk@tyfa.com. DO NOT give that to the spectator.
Inform them that the TYFA Site: spectator.tyfa.com has all the information they need to make a claim.
If they reach out to TYFA, we will check that a policy is in place for the location and that an official TYFA event was scheduled that day.
If either one of those questions is a NO, then TYFA's Liability insurance will not cover you.
If both questions are a YES, then you as a host will be covered. TYFA's insurance and lawyer will handle from that point.
