TASK 1. UPDATE ORGANIZATON PROFILE

To start a year and at any time throughout the year if something changes it should be updated. TYFA maintains a profile on each organization to be used at different times for communication or display on the website, documentation or championship "big boards."

TASK 2. SIGN ANNUAL AGREEMENT

The annual agreement is perpetual unless something on it changes. If the organization name changes or TYFA changes something within the agreement, a new agreement will need to be signed. A new agreement will be digitally sent when needed and it must be signed prior to the first Annual Meeting.

TASK 3. PAY ANNUAL DUES

Annual dues will be digitally invoiced, and will include the base dues, plus any unpaid fines or such, and minus any credits or Tenure discount. It is highly recommended that your dues be paid in full prior to the first Annual Meeting. 

Half by the first Annual Meeting is a must to attend the meeting, but the balance will incur a 10% late fee each month until the balance is paid in full no later than by the second Annual Meeting. The organization will not have any voting rights in meetings and will pay non-TYFA prices for spring events such as tackle, 7on7 etc.

There are numerous things that need to be done to prepare for a season. These are some of the more critical items.

TASK 1. ORDER SOFT-SHELL HELMETS (SSH)(5u)

• These were voted in by org Presidents in 2018 as part of the Safety Initiative for the 5u Flag Team.

• It was additionally voted after a presentation by the vendor, that GameBreaker (GB) be the exclusive supplier of the helmets as they are rated the best SSH.

• If you do not have any, are short, or changing the color of the helmet, you will need to purchase some helmets.

• If you wish to change the color, just inform HelpDesk@tyfa.com and it will get handled if GB has that color available.

TASK 2. ORDER FOOTBALLS

• Wilson Leather with TYFA Logo game balls, (K2=5u,7u,9u / TDJ=11u) are required for TYFA Games.

• Wilson Leather without TYFA Logo game balls, (TDY=13u) are required for TYFA Spring Games.

• TYFA Order Form is open twice a year; February and then June.

TASK 3. ORDER TRIPLE-THREAT FLAG BELTS (5u)

• This is the only Flag Belt TYPE allowed by rule.

• Three vinyl flags sewn to a nylon belt, one to each side and one in the back with a plastic clasp.

• Minimum 12" in length and 2 1/4" in width.

• RED, YELLOW, GREEN, or ROYAL BLUE only. No customization allowed.

• The Flag must be CONTRASTING IN COLOR to the color of the shorts/pants AND any stripe or writing down the sides of the shorts/pants.

• Not Triple-Threat, not Contrasting, or Customized will bring consequences in a game. Click to Review

TASK 4. ORDER JERSEY WITHIN SPECS

• HOME AND AWAY jerseys are required. Dark for Home. Away teams must wear white or an alternate color that does not conflict with the home team’s jersey. (If there is a conflict, the Home team decides what color they will wear).

• Nicknames, names, no names or statements are acceptable as long as they are youth appropriate. Does not have to be only all jerseys. 

• Numbers must be Front and Back. '00' to '99', but no numbers leading with a '0' except '00' or '0'.

• Number size should be appropriate to the age of the players.  Example 6" on 5u and 8" to 10" on the tackle players.

• Players with the same number cannot be on the field at the same time.

• Numbers must be HIGHLY contrasting to the jersey color. 

TASK 5. SECURE PRACTICE/GAME VENUES

• Practice venues there is not much to say.

• Game venues on the other hand have requirements.

• Fields that are not the right size, marked correctly or are not safe could cause forfeits.  Click for Home Field Requirements.

TASK 6. REQUEST LIABILITY POLICIES FROM TYFA FOR VENUES

• Being a TYFA member you are entitled if you are in GOOD STANDING, to have any number of policies for any and all of your practice fields, gyms etc., or game venues. 

• A home does not qualify.
